American researchers at Boston University, The University of Illinois, and Duke University have found disturbing connections between Zyprexa use and diabetes, hyperglycemia, diabetic ketoacidosis, insulin deficiency, diabetic coma and death.

Both the European Union and the Japanese government have mandated strong warnings to patients prescribed Zyprexa.
